Reminder – if you have an event open to all SOM grad students, you can apply for up to $200. Email us the online application before the week of the GSO meeting.

OHSU has dropped their objection and formally recognized our union!
Next steps include lots of ways for students to get involved: there will be bargaining committees set up to address these important issues (contract action teams); there will be students that will sit side-by-side with AFSCME staff at the negotiation table (bargaining committee)
Getting involved in the unionization process is a great career development opportunity! You can learn all kinds of vital skills that are easily translatable to industry or running your own lab. Consider getting involved! Email Marc for more information.
Meeting dates and times are on the website and will soon be listed on the calendar, but consider visiting the union website for more information/to stay up-to-date!

High likelihood that insurance will remain the same (which is good because usually the cost increases so much that we need to cut something, this year we did a good job using the insurance so the cost did not go up that much)
Student feedback was forwarded to the wellness coordinator/JBT team so they can use this info outside the context of actually changing the insurance
Get your prescriptions filled at an OHSU pharmacy, you get a discount if you do that!
